LIMONCOCHA BIOLOGICAL RESERVE🦗

ACTIVITIES

Visit to the Ancient Ceibo Tree

Our journey begins with a visit to the Great Millennial Ceibo Tree, a specimen that is over 400 years old. This gigantic tree is approximately 50 meters tall, which is comparable to the height of the Tower of Babel. It would take 27 to 29 people to completely encircle it.

Boating And Magical Sunset

Firefly Night Spectacle

At nightfall, the lagoon will be lit up by a blanket of fireflies that will adorn the waters where we will sail. The scene is similar to enjoying a starry night. Another fascinating moment where you can photograph this natural spectacle.

While sailing on Limoncocha Lagoon, we will enjoy an amazing sunset where you can take advantage of the moment to take selfies with one of the most iconic landscapes of the Ecuadorian Amazon. We invite you to check out our gallery where our customers have posted their best photos.

Continuing downstream, our task will be to search for the top predator of the Limoncocha Biological Reserve, the black caiman (Melanosuchus niger). This species can grow to between 3 and 7 meters in length. Its usual diet includes all kinds of mammals and birds, helping to control the animal populations in the reserve.

Alligator Watching

We will also have the opportunity to visit the healing waters of the Yamanunka Waterfall. According to the ancestral beliefs of the Shuar people, this waterfall has the power to cure illnesses and restore vitality to those who bathe in its waters. Given its remote location, it is only accessible on foot..
